Day #1– Living Together
The wandering festival center makes it stop on the first day at Oyoun (Neukölln) and asks: how do we want to and how can we live together in the future? How can solidary structures be created and maintained in which diverse lifestyles can find space? Over the course of workshops and discussions, collectives and projects can be encountered that bring together art and activism, create communities, make networks and that use artistic means to challenge, shape and change society.
At 12:00 pm, the Oyoun team will provide a short keynote speech about the project and its postcolonial, queer feminist and migrant perspectives on community building. While enjoying a free soup afterward, this topic can be discussed with other people.
In the afternoon, two workshops invite participants to speak with each and become creative together: Annika Füser and Ahmed Shah from Theater X will moderate an exchange on Cultures of Resistance - CommUnity Theater and Activist Networks. During the workshop Interspecies Togethernesswith the INTERSPACE_COLLECTIVE everyone can become artistically active and active as an activist themselves. At 4:00 pm, Lorena Valdenegro and Senait Sebhatleab, directors of the institution’s own production Check!, invite children and young people to conduct research into what they would wish for a fair coexistence in society.
In the evening, the daily festival bar opens at 7:00 pm in the café and garden of Oyoun and awaits with drinks and karaoke for everyone who wants to close out the first day of the festival together.
