Kulturhaus Insel Berlin

The operator of the culture center Berlin is the association kulturALARM e.V., which was founded in the year 2008. The association is dedicated to the support of culture, the next generation and musical culture.

kulturALARM e.V. has operated and developed the former youth club into an intergenerational cultural center under the name Insel Berlin since 2010. In doing so, the association has tied itself to the long tradition of this cultural venue in a special location. Autonomously, independently and without any significant financial support from public funds, the members of the association invest a great deal of time, money and passion in the sustainable development of this large-scale project. Today, the cultural center Insel Berlin offers its guests a wide range of diverse offers in the areas of recreation, culture and relaxation.

Venue notes

There is no barrier-free access to the building and event area as well as barrier-free parking. Access is via the "Abteibrücke" in Treptower Park, includes sandy paths in the park, bridge with incline and decline, cobblestones on the grounds (Inselgarten).

Detail of main and event access and sanitary facilities:
- House entrance door 177cm wide, step 5cm, approx. 80cm deep grille "halves" step to 2x 2.5cm
- corridor door 80cm wide, step 4cm
- entrance door to the event hall 82cm wide, 2cm step
- Door to WC 79,5cm wide, no step

In the event hall/area there is space for wheelchairs or walkers and there is a possibility to enter the hall ahead of time in agreement with the particularly suitable seat reservation and/or with the staff on site.
