Productions
Gerhart Hauptmann’s character Helene shows the effects of the increased consumption of alcohol within her own milieu and that of her family, from which she is unable to free herself before her tragic end. Blomen, Moré and Reiniger question Hauptmann’s play Vor Sonnenaufgang (Before Sunrise) and supplement it with their own and imagined experiences so that Helene is dealt with in a multitude of perspectives and a space is created in which identities and reality can be negotiated anew.
