Theresa Reiwer

Theresa Reiwer is a scenographer and media artist. She is particularly interested in testing new spaces for theater and combines physically accessible environments with digital extensions such as augmented or virtual reality. In doing so, she references pop cultural as well as neoliberal phenomena. As a scenographer, she was represented in the Berlinale Panorama in 2018 with "Jibril" and in 2021 with "Glück/Bliss". Her stage and VR video works have been invited to various guest performances and festivals such as IMPULSE Theater Festival and PAF. In 2022 the website installation "esmalbesserhabenin.de" was released, for which she invented the space and navigation concept. Theresa was a scholarship holder of the Berlin young artist program "Elsa-Neumann" and of "Initial" of the Akademie der Künste. In her own work, the narrative installation "Slow Rooms" (Mart Stam Prize 2019), she dealt with the topic of artificial intelligence for the first time. In the summer of 2021, she realized the follow-up work "Social Capsule" (Ballhaus Ost). The AR component has also already been exhibited at various group exhibitions in Berlin and Marburg.
