Professor Dr. Wolfgang Schneider

Wolfgang Schneider is the chair of the board of Fonds Darstellende Künste, a member of the board of the Initiative für die Archive des Freien Theaters e.V., a member of the International Theater Institute, an honorary member of ASSITEJ Germany and Switzerland as well as honorary president of the International Association of Theater for Children and Young People. He was the first director of the Center for Children’s and Youth Theater in the Federal Republic of Germany, chair of the Theater Council of Lower Saxony, a member of the Dance and Theater Council of the Goethe-Institut and an expert member of the inquiry commission Culture in Germany as well as the founding director of the Institute for Cultural Policy at the University of Hildesheim and holder of the UNESCO Chair in Cultural Policy for the Arts in Development (2012 to 2020).
