The old woman is one of the most dangerous and most endangered figures there is. Over the course of interviews, the director Katharina Kummer has tried to reach the soul of this figure. Using countless voices, the essence of the aged is made audible; at times gentle and vulnerable, then again merciless and shameless. A polyphonic trio presents the wrinkles of her skin and invite the audience to share in a feast, a witch’s Sabbath and, perhaps, a funeral reception.
The performance on Wednesday, May 25, is cancelled.
